He also wrote the screenplay for the short movie (S)hit Squad, which premiered at the inaugural Dallas Noir Film Fest in 2022. Hunsicker is the former executive Vice President of the Mystery Writers of America and his fiction has been short-listed for both the Shamus and Thriller Awards.
