Dan D’Eugenio, retired Lieutenant with the New York City Police Department, will offer insights into police and detective work from his personal experiences. He was active in every borough of the city. A few highlights of his career include:
Street Crime Unit in undercover work as a plain clothes officer, and in various disguises to bring about arrests for crimes such as murder, robbery and other crimes. Also, other special undercover work.

Executive Officer of Advanced and Specialized Training Unit for the Detective Investigation, Drug Awareness Course, and orientation for all newly promoted Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains.
Troop Commander of the Mounted Units in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens.
Rescues from the first World Trade Bombing.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Richmond College. (both colleges, now known as College of Staten Island, are part of the NY University system). He completed his Masters Degree in Public Administration at Long Island University-CW Post College, and several graduate credits in Training and Development at New York Tech College.
During his career he attended specialized training: Emergency Medical Technician I, Fire Investigation, White Collar Crime Investigation, Organized Crime Control Bureau-Auto Crime School, Criminal Investigation Course (the NYPD-Detective Course), United States Department of Justice-Drug Enforcement basic narcotics and dangerous drugs enforcement, Instructor Development, Assessment Center Techniques and Qualification, and Horsemanship Training.
He was recognized for, and awarded 3 Commendations, 7 Meritorius, and 15 Exceptional Police Duty Medals for arrests and rescues.
